1-Day trip to Akagera National Park Wildlife

After pick up your asigned guide/driver, you will embark on a journey to Akagera National Park. On the way, you will make a stop at the Imigongo Art Center for a coffee break and a chance to explore the local art and culture. Once refreshed, you will continue towards the park, arriving at the park headquarters around 08:00 am for tour formalities and a briefing.

Following the briefing and breakfast, you will set off for an exciting game drive through Akagera’s vast wilderness. This drive offers an excellent opportunity to spot a wide array of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, giraffes, gazelles, impalas, baboons, oribi, zebras, topis, bushbucks, leopards, and much more. Along the way, you’ll also see crocodiles and hippos, as well as a diverse collection of bird species, with over 525 identified varieties in the park.

As your morning unfolds, you will continue exploring the park, especially its northern part, for more game viewing, with a picnic lunch in the wild. After a thrilling day of wildlife encounters, you will exit the park in the late afternoon and drive back to Kigali, either to your hotel or the Kigali International Airport, concluding your day’s adventure.
