Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, Tanzania
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our professional guide/driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Settle into your comfortable accommodation, at Arusha Coffee Lodge, and take time to relax and prepare for the upcoming safari adventure. Enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by the serene landscapes of Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha to Mto wa Mbu
After breakfast, you will depart Arusha and head to the vibrant town of Mto wa Mbu, a 109.4-kilometer drive. Along the way, you will marvel at the stunning landscapes, including the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to explore the town’s bustling markets, engage with local artisans, and enjoy an authentic cultural experience. In the afternoon, settle into your accommodation at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park
Today, embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, traversing diverse landscapes and witnessing wildlife such as giraffes, elephants, and impalas along the way. Upon arrival, you will feel the excitement as you enter the park’s vast, iconic wilderness. After a brief rest at your camp or lodge, venture out on an afternoon game drive to start exploring the Serengeti’s wildlife wonders. Overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge or Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 4: Full Day of Game Drives in Western Serengeti
Spend the day exploring the Western Serengeti, famous for its dramatic predator-prey interactions and abundant wildlife. You’ll have a chance to witness thrilling chases as lions, cheetahs, and leopards stalk their prey. Be sure to keep your camera ready for sightings of elephants, zebras, hippos, and perhaps even the elusive leopard. As the day winds down, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and a night under the stars.

Days 5 & 6: Full Days in the Central Serengeti
These two days are dedicated to exploring the Central Serengeti, known as the heart of the park and home to some of the most spectacular wildlife experiences in Africa. Witness the Great Migration, with over 2.5 million wildebeests and zebras moving across the plains. Along with the migration, you will spot big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as buffaloes, hyenas, and a plethora of bird species. Return to camp for evening relaxation and delicious meals under the African sky.

Day 7: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The scenic 4-hour drive will take you through the vast savannas, woodlands, and Maasai villages. Upon arrival, you will descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most unique wildlife habitats in the world. Keep an eye out for the endangered black rhino, as well as elephants, lions, and flamingos. Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Full Day in Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha
Spend the day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, known for its dense wildlife population. You’ll descend into the crater for an exciting game drive where you’ll likely see the “Big Five” lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard. The crater is also a birder’s paradise, with flamingos, crowned cranes, and many other species inhabiting the area. After lunch, you will ascend and begin the drive back to Arusha, a journey of approximately 2 hours and 42 minutes, covering 154.6 kilometers. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
