Enjoy the scenic drive through Kigali, known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Settle into your hotel and relax after your journey as you prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Start the day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a Kigali city tour. You will visit key cultural and historical sites, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you will learn about the tragic 1994 genocide and Rwanda’s remarkable recovery. You will also explore the bustling Kimironko Market and the Nyamirambo Women’s Center, gaining insights into the daily lives of Rwandans.
After lunch in Kigali, you will embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, crossing the Rwanda-Uganda border. Upon arrival at Bwindi, you will check in to your lodge and unwind, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the forest.

Today is the highlight of your 4-Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari! After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the rangers. In small groups, you will begin your trek into the lush forest of Bwindi in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. As you hike through thick vegetation, your guide will point out signs of recent gorilla activity, such as nests and feeding sites.
Once you find a gorilla family, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural environment. Witness their social interactions and marvel at the similarities between humans and these incredible creatures. After your magical hour with the gorillas, you will return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.
